Bread Ministry

Bread Ministry

The New Life community has partnered with Cobs Bread to provide complimentary bread and baked goods to nearby families.

Distribution of Cobs bread will take place every Saturday at 9:30 a.m. while supplies last.

The Gleaner’s Closet

The Gleaner's Closet offers a selection of free clothing and other items for children aged 0-16 years, as well as maternity wear. 

The facility is open on Wednesday & Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and remains closed on long weekends.

Children's and Family Coordinator

Children  Family Facilitator Position 

Children & Family Ministry Facilitator --New Life Community Church (newlifeburnaby.ca) seeks a passionate and committed Children & Family Ministry Facilitator, dedicated to cultivating a vibrant and spiritually enriching environment for children and families. This role is not just about coordinating Sunday School logistics—it’s about fostering a Christ-centered culture of discipleship, connection, and growth within the church community.

Program Coordination & Ministry Operations

Oversee Sunday School operations, ensuring engaging lessons, a safe environment, and a strong foundation in Christian education. Facilitate intergenerational church events that bring families together in worship, service, and fellowship. Organize summer faith-building programs (Vacation Bible School, ‘Wacky Wednesday,’ etc.) that involve both families and youth leaders. Maintain necessary records, manage budgets, and ensure supplies and curriculum materials are available to volunteers and teachers.

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

The ideal candidate will:

  • – Have accepted Jesus Christ as personal Lord and Saviour, and, as a Christian, believe the Bible and doctrines outlined in the Apostles’ Creed
  • – Have experience with Children’s and family ministries in a local church setting.
  • – Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • – Be able to work well both independently and within a team setting

 

COMPENSATION:

Hours: 10-15 hours per week

Hourly Wage: $25 to start, and will depend on the successful candidate's background, education, and experience.
