Located near the forest behind New Life Community Church is a small oasis in God’s creation. We hope that the community garden will serve our neighborhood by providing a gathering place to connect with others, work together, grow food, and enjoy the beauty and wonder of creation.
Come by Anytime
The garden space contains 14 full sized plots, a herb garden, a patio with table and chairs, a tool shed and a bench. Feel free to come and enjoy the space on a sunny day.
The registration fee is $20 for a half plot (4’ x 8’) or $35 for a full plot (4’ x 16’). Student or low/fixed income rates are also available, as the fee is not intended to be a barrier to participation. We encourage all members to help maintain the communal space by coming to help on garden work days, several times a year.
The Free Store provides free clothing and items for children 0-16. Everything is absolutely free at the store: no strings attached. Everyone is welcome to get things from the store for their family.
Better Steward / Habits
The more you are able to get, the less you have to buy. This means less garbage in the landfills, and more money for you to spend on other things like a night out, babysitting, a favourite charity, etc. We only ask that patrons limit themselves to two bags of clothing or toys per household per visit.
Support The Free Store
Donate clean, gently used items for children. Donations can be dropped off at the west entrance of the Greenhouse behind New Life Community Church. Do not donate household items, outdated car seats, TVs, furniture, etc. Whenever possible please drop off donations during store hours.
Volunteering with this ministry a few hours a month can make a big difference in the lives of others. Help sort clothing, work during store hours, or do other odd jobs, like pick up recycling.
Home Groups are a caring place to fellowship, study, pray, and worship together.
The intended result of this encouraging environment is growth in our faith and service for God. For more information about which home groups might be a good fit for you, please contact our church office.
Mission is an integral part of New Life’s vision.
A sizable portion of our budget is dedicated to local and global initiatives that support a variety of causes, such as poverty and disaster relief, outreach, and education. This is done through supporting both established organizations and missionary families.
The church’s decisions and direction in this ministry are overseen by a missions committee of church members. For a detailed document that provides further information about this ministry, please contact the church office.
Everyone is welcome to attend.

Developing Our Relationship with God
Like any relationship, sometimes communicating with God involves talking openly about what is on one’s heart, and other times it involves listening. Or perhaps it involves sitting quietly and enjoying God’s presence.
New Life hosts a number of prayer gatherings throughout the week, such as small group intercessions, prayer walks, and large group listening prayer. If you are new to our church community and feel that you are in need of prayer, one of our prayer team is always on hand following our Sunday morning service. If you are interested in more information or in taking part in one of the prayer initiatives at New Life Community Church, please contact the church office.
For Children & Youth From Nursery Up To Grade 12.
New Life Community Church has Sunday school classes for children and youth from nursery up through Grade 12. On Sunday morning, families worship together until the children and youth are released from the Worship Service at about 10:30.
In the smaller classes, the students get to know their peers as they study through a solid Bible curriculum with our Sunday school teachers. In the summer, the students all meet in one large class.
Besides attending classes, the students also help to raise money for various offering projects (for example, sponsoring a cow for a family in Syria).
There are many opportunities to be involved in the Sunday school ministry at New Life. Drop in and have a look around to see what God is doing in our community.
Wednesday Lunch Club
Volunteers welcome those who are homeless, at risk of homelessness, or underemployed. Enjoy a cup of coffee, a sandwich, and a bowl or two of homemade soup — all served over friendly conversation. The food is prepared and served by volunteers from New Life and our local community.
Come find us in New Life’s Greenhouse, located behind the main church building.
On Sunday mornings, during the service, we have classes for the youth: grades 6-8 and grades 9-12. More info about Sunday School can be found here.
Youth nights happen every Monday night. Our goal is to help the youth connect more deeply with God and with each other. For more info about our next youth night, check out our calendar.
