DISCIPLESHIP
One God, infinite in being and perfection, existing eternally in three Persons: the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, who are of one substance and equal in power and glory.
The Lord Jesus Christ, who is true God and true man being conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary to effect salvation. He lived a sinless life and died on the cross as the sinner’s substitute, shedding His blood for the remission of sins. He rose from the dead in the body, ascended into heaven to the right hand of the Father where He now performs the ministry of intercession. He shall come again, personally and visibly, to complete His work of salvation and fulfill the eternal plan of God.
PRAYER
The Holy Spirit, whose work is to bring glory to the Lord Jesus Christ, and to convict men of sin, regenerate the believing sinner, indwell, guide, instruct, gift and empower the believer for godly living and service.
The Scriptures, that the sixty-six books comprising the Old and New Testaments of the Bible were inspired by God and without error in the original writings. They are the complete and only infallible guide for Christian faith and practice.
WORSHIP
People being created in the image of God, but falling through disobedience at the suggestion of Satan. Mankind is therefore lost and under the sentence of eternal death. Only by the grace of God, through faith, on the basis of the work of Christ and by the agency of the Holy Spirit can we be saved from this condition.
The shed blood of Christ and His resurrection as the only ground for justification and salvation for all who believe. Only such as receive Jesus Christ are born of the Holy Spirit, and thus become children of God.
REACHING OUT
New Life is responding to Christ’s command to love our neighbours in practical ways. Some New Life people are informally carrying out this command at their workplaces, schools, neighbourhoods and by supporting a host of non-profit organizations. Others are actively involved in our Gleaners Closet and Bread Ministry.
